The new XP Cold Air intake kit works in two ways. First, it eliminates the "bog" or loss of power caused by the stock air intake clogging with snow. The "Gauge Vent" is mounted behind the windshield a few inches above the top of the primary air box. The "Air Box Vent" mounts on top of the primary air box which allows for cold fresh air to be drawn into the system. Second, it allows hot air from the engine compartment to escape through the highest point on the sled through the "Gauge Vent" (hot air rises). This kit almost doubles the surface area for air to enter the stock air box. It is made of 16ga. perforated aluminum with a pvc mesh covering it. Both the Air box vent and Gauge vent have an extra layer of waterproof OEM spec pre-filter to keep fine powder out. Unlike all other kits it doesn't have a wimpy "frame" of aluminum with mesh that trees and sharp objects can cut through. There isn't a tree out there big or sharp enough to cut through this perforated aluminum, so FEAR NOT when riding through tight spots and thick trees. These vents have been manufactured to stand the test of time under any riding condition. Comes complete with 1ea Gauge Vent (Installed behind the windshield above the gauges) 1ea - Air Box Vent (Installed on the top of the stock air box) all the instructions, templates, and rivets needed for do-it-yourself installation. NO Jetting is required! The air box vent is located "upstream" of the air temp sensor so the DPM can work normally. Just install and go!

Xtreme XP 5 Piece Cold Air Vent Kit: (Fits '08-'12 XP's)
Are you tired of scorching hot clutches and burning
belts? How does the vent kit mitigate that damage? Simple, air flow. If
you don't give that hot air a way to mix with colder air the
temperature inside will rise until a breaking point is hit and the sled
stops working. Belts and clutches are easy targets as the breaking
point. Proper cooling solves the problem. Don't worry though, these
vents are made to last. Just getting near the trees is sometimes enough
to damage those "other guy's" vents. I'm an extreme rider, and I
designed the vents for me, so I know they are strong enough for all
extreme riders. They are made of 16ga perforated aluminum with a super
strong coated mesh covering. The clutch side vents have an extra layer
of OEM spec waterproof material between the aluminum and the mesh to
keep the
fine powder out but still let a lot of air in. Unlike all other vent
kits that have mesh attached to a tiny little aluminum frame these
vents are a solid perforated aluminum. Nothing will ever tear through,
and they actually add structural strength. Can be ordered in any color:

5 Piece Vent Kit: (Fits '08-'12 XP's)
This kit was designed specifically not to affect any stickers on your model year '08 sled. The kit will fit '09-'11 models as well, but it will affect some of your stickers. All vents are made of 16ga perf aluminum with a super strong coated mesh covering. All clutch side vents have an extra layer of OEM spec waterproof material between the aluminum and the mesh. These vents are built for extreme riders and boondockers. They don't have a wimpy frame of aluminum with mesh providing all the "structure"? These vents won't rip or tear while playing in the trees. Plus they look really cool! Can be ordered in any color: (Blue, Yellow, Red, White, Black).

These little vents are a great add on or stand alone vent. They have the same great features of all the other big vents. Clutch side vents have an extra layer of OEM spec waterproof material between the aluminum and mesh to keep fine powder and water out. Please specify: clutch side or exhaust side when ordering. Can be ordered in any color: (Blue, Yellow, Red, White, Black).

The Hood Vent covers the unprotected inlet on the stock XP hood. This vent keeps snow from entering the engine compartment. Like all vents this vent is covered with a super strong coated mesh covering available in cool colors.

XP Exhaust Vent ('08 - '12 XP)
The Exhaust vent covers the open, unprotected air inlet on the exhaust side. This "open hole" allows tons of snow to enter on the exhaust side and create lots of steam. This simple vent reduces snow build up on the exhaust side. Like all vents this vent is covered with a super strong coated mesh covering available in cool colors.
